Origami Portfolio

Origami is the art of paper folding, and to me, it's the perfect combination of art and engineering. While most people think of paper airplanes, cranes, and frogs, origami has expanded tenfold from a century ago. Methods have been developed of designing origami (traditional bases, grafting, circle packing, molecules, box pleating, hex pleating, and polygon packing), and with these, a designer has an arsenal of information to design whatever they choose. Just forty years ago, many of the models I have designed would have been impossible without an understanding of some of the methods I listed above. 

Most of my designs in this portfolio use a method called "box pleating".
