My brothers and I at the banyan tree, 2011.
The Banyan tree was often referred to as, "The Heart of Lahaina". The pictures in the middle show the damage done to the tree. At the time of writing (Aug. 13th, 2023) there has been no consensus on whether the banyan tree will survive, but the main structure of the system seems intact.
